does anyone have this actually working?
i move the pitch on my turntable (super fast computer tested with maya44usb, esi u46dj, as well as serato SL-1) i always get huge pitch variances when i even gently nudge/adjust my mixes...
serato doesn't do this.. their pitch lock really works during whole song adjusts as well as nudges :(
EDIT: i mean when using timecode nudging... for some reason, it works fine when i use the buttons on the skin.... but nobody wants to do that.

You mean in skin only? right?
Its a cosmetic thing?
(serato disables pitch when you scratch)
You can disable the pitch reading in skin in VDJ too, or adjust how sensitive it should be ;)

no, i could care less about the skin... but the audio is affected too.
Suppose i am mixing two tracks and naturally every single release can't be SPOT on, so some adjusting/nudging/mixing is required... if i'm unlucky enough to nudge a track in the middle of a word, i get a chipmunked (or slowed down) effect. Imagine turning off the master tempo on a pioneer CDJ...you can audibly hear when the DJ is adjusting things...
I'd like master tempo to be active all the time! My processor is a quad-core 3.2 i believe with 3.5 gigs of ram running windows XP and the latency checker says everything is fine- it even mixes video perfectly. BUT i can never select the advanced master tempo option without horrible distortion... would something like that affect vdj's ability to keep up and apply master tempo to quick nudges?
I mean... if serato can do it since years ago, (and i'm sorry i know this is comparing totally different things because im sure the backends of the programs are totally different) then vdj should do it! It's embarassing for turntablist-oriented DJs to have sudden adjustment pitch variances in the middle of their mixes dontcha think

I agree with this observation. Mastertempo in VDJ doesn't react immediately and takes some time before it kicks in when using time code and changing pitch. Serato doesn't have this problem. I don't own Serato but I tested with borrowed Serato box.

I agree, even if you set preforamance to best quality (which is working for me with the trail vers.) u dont get master tempo when nugging. (i use cdj 400 as midi)

Keylock and/or Master Tempo works well in V6 when nudging ...

via software and controllers, yes. (skin buttons and my hercules mk2 work nicely)
but the timecode engine hates it and therein lies the problem

NOT working with the cdj400 and the trail vers.

Aviry,
like say Cstoll, master tempo while nudging now works with VDJ 6.0.1 (with midi controleurs. I don't know for timecode). I have CDJ400s. If you want the master tempo while nudging, you just have to disable the vinyl mode.
Thank you VDJ team for this great improvement and all the new features...
