We need to know what video output your Mac has - DVI, Mini DVI, Mini DisplayPort? The new Unibody MB's and MBP's use the Mini DisplayPort, in which case there isn't a great solution available for Video Out via Composite or S-Video. If you have an older Mac with the DVI or Mini DVI output, Apple offers connectors for both formats to Composite Video.

My MacBook has the same specs, so I assume you have the white polycarbonate shell MacBook that is roughly a year old?

If yes, in that case the adaptor you asked is the right one (Mini-DVI --> Video). I have the same one and it works fine with VDJ.
