You can use a USB hub with the DJ Console Rmx if the USB hub comes with its power adaptor.

any controller is always more "efficient" if its directly connected to the computer.

I'm using a powered (adapter) USB Hub 2.0 for my RMX and haven't exerienced any problems, yet. Haven't tested it in 'real-live-action' but only with working in my studio.
