Topic: missing posts, there one minute gone the next... lol

got to warn you guys the phantom ghost post napper has struck again, lol, just put some photos on it early this morning for a couple of the guys to check out, saw it half an hour ago and now it's gone, checked back ten pages and it's not there, if any one finds a post with pics of a flight case been built please inform the lost childrens tent please... lol

ok found it, been moved to another forum... please anyway of re directing people when a post has been moved to a new location, just took extra medication there thought reality was starting to kick in.... lol
 
It's been moved to hardware forum?? Pity they don't leave a link to say it's been moved there.

Other forums put a [Moved] in the title of the thread when it has been moved, IMO it's just polite too.

Shame they don't do it here....................... it's a shame they don't do alot of things here!!!!!

When posts are moved it's just polite in my opinion to inform the author of the thread and to other users that have wrote in that thread that is has been moved. It only takes a few seconds to put a [Moved] into the title. I bet it can be set up automatically.

Just little thing like this could improve this forum.

Except that the title moves with the thread.
Granted, other forum software has the paper trail feature, we do not.

It depends on the subject matter.
Personally, if its Hardware troubleshooting it should be moved.
If its system pictures etc...general forum should be the place for it.
 
I agree that virtually everything posted in general should stay there....if you are moving things based on content then about 90% of the general forum should be moved to one or more of the technical support forums because mostly every post topic in here is regarding a technical issue with the program, controllers, features, what hardware to buy, etc.
 
There doesn't seem to be a clear set of guidelines among the moderators on what gets moved and what doesn't get moved. The only problem I see with leaving everything in the general forum is it's often so busy interesting posts get pushed to their death by some posts that are not so interesting. Moving and locking posts does help a little in this regard.

There's also a small handful of peeps here who make 20 brand new posts a week pushing other good posts down to the basement where they die from premature evacuation. (Medical Term for leaving too soon)

I think I'm going off topic, shut up Renee.
