Hello everyone.
Ever since I started using VDJ I'm had my ICDX's. . . . Apparently Numark and their infinite wisdom decided to stop making the ICDX's. What I loved about VDJ and the ICDX's is that they are mapped within the program. All I had to do is pick my controller and all the mapping was done.
Some of my buttons have been sticking on my players. Should I purchase two new ones before I can't find them anywhere or wait and see what they will come out with? If I wait, how long will it be until there's mapping done for the players. . . I like the "pick your controller" and be done with it option.
thanks in advance for the replies.

you have to use the mapper funktion in vdj6
but at the moment it is not so smooth like it was in vdj5
there are still some problems in the handling with the new version but they are in the troubleshooting process so stay tuned it will be fixed im sure
until that its better to stay at 5
best regards dj-agua

ICDX is Problem in all the versions till V6, and that problem makes them useless ,we have been reportin this problem ,they keep circle the answer, some say they work fine, but those who say that they havent answer back with their set up some are blamemig at the mapper, but that is an excuse. I sugest to have this player move from the VirtualDJ Publicity. Sorry for those who are buying the shouldnt be foolin people please ,I will sell them! but I never gonna recomend people that they work with virtualdj.

@ Jeremy, hang tight. I bet we will see an iCDX II sometime in the next few months. Of course we will see it, and have to wait six months for public sale...but I bet we get a preview soon.

I agree with I_rids.
Or are we just the lucky ones that doesn't have issues with it.
iCDX is simply just met my djing needs.

Sony Viao: 1.76GHz,2GRAM,XP (Audio only)
2 x iCDX: v0.44FM,HID (side by side with TCV) (update from v0.40 but never seen much difference in performance)
2 x TT200 + M44-7 + VVTCV (not really used because iCDX can handle the job easily)
1 x Audio8 or VV box
Live gig duration: 6hrs straight once a week
Software:VVv5.2.1
With Audio8 i need to install GLI due to the power supply sensitivity of this soundcard.
I think 6hours once a week is not enough though, don't you think?
Well i just can't count how many hours i'm using these set up during free time though, sorry.

I can't remember the firmware version I'm using but I know its not the latest.... I took the approach of if its not broke why fix it. how do you check the version again?
I havent gig tested v6 yet but I was having platter issues up until 6.02 which is now fixed.
v5.2.1 is the one I've been using. Gigs twice a week normally 4-6 hrs each.
Acer with media centre edition. 2gig ram dual core centrino. 256mb dedicated ati vid card. Nothing special in comparison to what's out there. I got probably the last laptop before they changed to the express slot. I use pcmcia audigy card i think. hard to remember... i bought it ages ago.
