Hey guys,
I have a small setup
- Hercules DJ Console RMX
- VDJ 5 (OSX)
- Speakers 2
- Headphone
I have been messing with it for almost 3 months, and I like RMX a lot
but now I would like to start scratching... the jogs on the RMX are too small
so what options do I have here?
I would like to use VDJ and I would like to keep my RMX as a mixer/and to load MP3 and its effects) ... basically all I really want is a way to scratch with a bigger JOG wheels

The simplest option is to get a turntable with Timecoded vinyl connected to the input of the Rmx.

Will any type of Turntable play Timecode?

Yes, but go for direct drive ones.
The most important thing with timecodes vinyls is the stylus/needles IMO.

How would you connect say something like the CDJ 400's to the Hercules?

You can use the CDJ 400's as a midi controller so you would be able to use them without timecodes :) The 400's have native support with in VirtualDJ
They would connect via USB I believe.

you really dont have to? VDJ supports the CDJ 400 as a controller by themselves. but if you wanted still you would connect it on the input side.
