Hi every one! I just want to ask for a help. I have a line out socket from my music instrument. How can I connect to my computer and record the sound from my music instument throu virtual dj? Is it even possible? Currenly I have used wires to connect my music instrument to the line out port of my computer and in virtual dj I have also selected "line in" from the record file config. Will this do the job? thanks for helping!

If the only thing you want to do is to record a music instrument connected to the computers line-in connector, I suggest you use software that is actully ment for that. For example, try Audacity.

And you have to set your audio record setting to "what you hear".
For XP:
Play control
Options
Properties
Recording button
Ok
Select "What U Hear"
Above suggestion about Audacity is a good one. I personally use Adobe Autition.
Set the output of your sound instrument so not to go above 0dB. If it peaks between -3dB and Zero your good.
Have fun,

If you want to record from a line in, you would select line in, not "what you hear" ;)
