Topic: Dumb question of day...

currently using the vdj6pro skin...i was wondering if there is a way to make the database/browser area bigger and the drive/folder screen bigger...when i wear my glasses i see everything fine, but without it is blurry...i see the club fine, as i am far sighted (everything within arms reach is blurry) and these fields are a lil small for me.. would like to gig without using my glasses and or contacts...So i guess the question is...can i make the fonts bigger for folders and song titles and artists?

I like the size of the text n stuff but I would like to see the browser just a little bit bigger.
 
I'm trying to view the vid...kinda blurry..switched to you tube version...trying to work it out now...thanks for the tip
 
Trying to get this to work...followed video instructions...however...i cannot open the .xml file with notepad..can only click "open" doesnt give me the option to choose a program and it opens with IE...when i try to change font size it wont allow me to edit it...help?
 
Right mouse button click the .xml file. Then select "open with" and look for notepad...

it's not your eyes nutnbutnet, lol, it was put into youtube sometime back before they did hq vids, will update soon as i have time with better quality video.
 
Ok i tried doing what the vid says...and cannot get it to make the fonts bigger...when i go to .xml files its not giving me the same xml file as in video...its giving me v6pro v6widescreen etc...i've gone through and changed font from 15 to 19 in notepad and saved...but when i open vdj it didnt change the screen...i'm lost as to what to do..

Hi Nutnbutnet, This is how I did it on XP. Go into VDJ folder, open the skins folder, pick the version of VDJ you're using, for me it's vers 6. Pick the skin you want to change, open that, then I went to extract files. Opens another window opens ,then right click on that one and open with notepad. Scroll to browser, change the fonts to what you want. Close out notepad it should ask to save changes. Click yes, then I drag & dropped the saved file back into the zipped folder, it asked if I want to replace existing file, click yes. Close everything and start VDJ. Changes should show.
Not the best at writing instructions, but hope you can understand it enough for it to work. Good Luck

**** If you messed it up like I have before, you can unistalll VDJ, then when you reinstall the skins will reset.
 
I followed what you said and it worked perfectly....You saved me alot of money trying to get contacts to work right...i wasn't moving ithe file after i changed it, back to the zip file.. Thank You!!!!!
