When I load a new song on video or do a recurse VDJ freezes up for about 10-15 seconds. I"m just starting to mix videos so the freezing up is a real problem. Also I want to add my music is stored on a external hard drive, and it's freshly defrragged.

what are you system specs? does it freeze on your output window or just your laptop screen? what are your settings in vdj.cue under config. without any info how do you expect anyone to answer your questions.
