How to be a dj
1 - Find someone that is in the business and that can point you in the right direction.
2 - Only pick up good habits, meaning no pirated music and/or software, this will show that you are being professional and serious about your work and you will earn respect from club owners and fellow djs.
3 - You don't have to start with expensive equipment a simple setup will do.
This is the setup im using right now, its very reliable, good quality, and reasonably priced.

i suggest you start with something like the Hercules RMX, it comes with a legal copy of virtual Dj and you can add more equipment as go.
To connect turntables/ CD players to your computer you need a sound card with 2 Inputs and 2 Outputs, the RMX will work as a sound card and a mixer at the same time.
PM me if you have anymore questions, Cheers!... OH wait you are only 15, no cheers, no cheers.... lol

Thats not quite how it works mate.
If you want to use your Turntables to control music on your laptop you need to have a special sound card which provides at least 2 stereo inputs and 2 stereo outputs and a special type of vinyl disc (called Timecode Vinyl). The disc has a code on it which is read by VDJ software but it must pass into the sound card first.
The code controls starting stoping and speed/pitch/tempo of the track you are playing on the computer.
There are lots of helpfull posts on this forum that will help you set this up.

In other words, you cannot control the music with your turntables without a sound card and "Time Coded Vinyls".
Many recommend this card. You must connect this card to your computer through a USB port. You then connect your turntables to this card through the inputs and then to the mixer thought the outputs.

So your setup will look something like this.....

Ca I use RMX as a sound card?? I was thinking to use 2 cdjs and 2 turntable + xone s2
if I use turntables Timecoded using RMX as a soundcard, do I have to use 2 channel in the mixer?
