I'm sorry there are no breaking actual news articles but it seems it's pretty much true, as insiders are tweeting. Pretty sad news! Raida was a pioneering turntablist and founded the legendary X-Excutioners DJ crew.

Roc Raida is my icon,I have a couple dvd in which I watch every week just to pattern a few styles,its really sad to know a young talent,and one of fastest man i ever see doing body tricks,well skill and amazing.Nevertheless he will all be miss by all turntablist DJ, gone too soon,RIP Raida.
 
Roc Raida, A DJ icon, really help elevate and brought the Battle DJ scene to a broader audience. The body tricks/Scratching he was ding back then are still top notch even now. He will be missed. Shout out to his family, RIP.
 
I like this DJ too, what happened? does anyone know, he doesn't look that old

For all the Djs who dont know,here is the info, http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1621956/20090921/raida_roc.jhtml, I was hoping to see the grandmaster with turntables using VDJ or serato,just even to pattern a few styles.But he will be truly missed, I guess Busta Rhyme is still in total shock now because talent like these are hard to find.Maybe I should put more time into practice and get a contract with Busta Rhymes but VDJ would have to improve the timecode or I just have to buy serato,nevertheless this belong to another forum.RIP ROC RAIDA
