I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good plugin for VDJ that I can use for mastering my mix?
Can't seem to find any that work with VDJ.

Most people these days dont just mix off the turntables and record it the way it is. Usually, a producer or the DJ will do some type of mastering on the mix so you don't lose quality.
The problem with recording an hours worth of music to a CD is that once the full space of the cd is used, you lose quite a bit of quality.
I need to counter that problem - and need to produce a mix cd that is just as good as other mix cd's out there.
Maybe something like a compression plugin will help?

You should use a program like Adobe Audition or something similar to record and master your mix then.
However, MASTERING is a tricky thing and you'll have to study a few things about the sound before you proceed to a decent mastering result. Using a compressor (or a multi-band compressor) is not everything on the mastering procedure. It is only/just a basic step... ;)
