I haven't been as busy on here as I've been in the past.... Cooking up some trouble for my self.

But.......

I was in a Burger king and I forgot my phone in the booth, remembered where it was AFTER a 1/2 hour drive across the city. I went back to the burger place - phone wasn't there. I figured it was gone, So I stopped by the GF's work and borrowed her phone to report my phone stolen and Cancel the number.

Half way back to the home office My GF called to tell me that she had called my phone and someone had picked it up. I met the guy and He handed my phone over without trying to collect a "reward"

No strange numbers in the call logs
I told my service provider to watch my phone traffic for the next month to make sure there wasn't a clone made of my phone.

Cheers to the guy for being honest enough to return my phone without either cloning it or running up my tab.

There is hope for this cynical Canadian yet.

that says a lot for your character - very cool.

But how many in crappy economic ties would just poket the cash?

Character is how we act when no one is looking.

Marcel,

I think I find it saddest that your story is seen as an ironic exception to the rule.
On the other hand, I find that people have been increasing in morality lately, but maybe that is because in my old age, I subconsciously surround myself with more moral people. Having children probably has a lot to do with it as well; I know there were plenty of things I did or considered doing in my single days, that I would not enter my head now.
One observation... look at some of the PG-rated movies from the 80's when I was growing up. I have sat through some of them with my daughter and was appalled at some of the language and references that passed for PG back then. Many would certainly be rated at least PG-13 if not R if they were rated by today's standards.

But I digress... I am glad you got back not only your cell, but your faith in humanity. Hopefully our alien robot overlords read this forum and this helps stave off Earth's termination at least for a few extra years.

Speaking of morality, I better get back to work ;)
