I have a djm 800 mixer by Pioneer and want to use the midi out to control the crossfader on virtual dj. I cannot hear my other channel when the fader is on one side. The midi overran my mixer and doesn't allow me to cue up songs on the other channel while one side of the crossfader is playing. Anyone know how fix this problem so that I can cue up the other channel while the crossfader is set to the other channel? Thanks.

Do not assign the crossfader to control VirtualDJ's crossfader ... also, set the Crossfader option in the Config -> Options tab to Disabled.

If you are mixing video and want to use the mixer's crossfader to control the video crossfader then assign the mixer's crossfader to the video_crossfader action.

awesome. i didn't know the videos had their separate crossfader. thanks.

I'm new to VDJ dropping PCDJ VJ because of the issues with them. I'm still using a DAC-3 and one question is on the Video crossfade, if I unlink the video crossfader option to audio crossfader it still wants to pull the mixer fader to one side when I use the Mix now button on the DAC-3, then if I want to Cue something up I always have to use the mouse to pull the audio crossfader to the middle position again to cue. I'm also using a external mixer. hope I didnt confuse anyone to bad on my 2nd post. thanks to everyone on these cool forums. Al Rudy

In the Config -> Options tab ... set the Crossfader option to DISABLED ... top left column.

It's the same answer as above in my prior post ...

And re-assign the Mix Now button in the mapping to move just the video_crossfader
