Ok so i've got the mixer now,could anyone help me with setting up my rmx so i can preview my mixes? I wanna just use my pc speakers for now but when i plug the head phones in to the rmx the sound just comes thru the cans and not the speakers too. As stated b4 i'm not very gifted wen it comes to computers. Dia grams woild help. And Also lookin to frun it thru my stereo using red and whites anyone help? Cos the instruction booklet that comes with the rmx is next to useless!
 
Hey there it's the pain in the ass again. To hook up yo my stereo and do i just run a red and white from the output1/2 audio jacks to my stereo> If i do this will i get the music thru my stereo and headphones?

Frazzle, the RMX is an amazing piece of kit, but when you try and frig with the setup you can get in to all sorts of trouble.

To get cue and pre-mix you MUST use the RMX sound card. Therefore hooking up to your home HiFi or even a set of PC speakers is the way to go.

So leave the setup as it is meant to be:

Inputs: None
Outputs: 1&2 Master 3&4 Headphones
Soundcard: RMX

(From memory so wordin maybe slightly wrong)

The heaphone socket on the front (or top) is channels 3&4 and can now be used to cue.

Connect your HiFi or PC speakers to the outputs 1&2 via the phono/RCA connectors - not the 1/4" jacks.

That should be it.

CHEERS GADGET MAN,WILL LET YA KNOW HOW IT GOES. jUST USING THE DJC EDITION JUST NOW SEEIN AS AL MY FUNDS WENT ON THE RMX. MISSIN SOME OF THE PRO FEATURES LIKE. wILL UPGRADE AS SOON AS I CAN THO. BUT IN MEAN TIME WOULD AN... ERM NOT ENTIRELY LEGIT COPY WORK WITH RMX?

i can tell you now they will answer you but "ermm" they will have way alot more to say bout your not so legal copy of the vdj...its taken serious here bout legit vs non legit...but if you been on here any lnght of time..you know that there are alot of those usages free flowin...nothing negative just givin you heads up on that outcome ..

CHEERS MISTAH,I AIN'T USING ANY HOOKY VERSIONS IN FACT I UNINSTALLED THE ONE MY MATE GAVE ME,BUT AM MISSING THE 1/4,1/2,1 BEAT,2 BEAT LOOP FEATURE ETC. aLSO WEN USING THE FLANGER ON THE DJC EDITION DO I STILL NEED TO USE MY MOUSE TO TWEAK THE 'KNOBS' AS IT WERE? GOTTA SAY I WAS READIN EARLIER ABOUT A 'NEWBIE' LIKE ME ON HERE AND HE WAS SAYIN HE'D HAD A LOT OF NAEGATIVE FEEDBACK FROM PEOPLE ON HERE BUT I AIN'T EVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE. jUST USEFUL FRIENDLY ADVICE SUCH AS YOURS. cHEERS AGAIN, FRAZ

when yu say mouse to tweak the flanger, what do you mean,
 
WEN I USE THE FLANGER ON THE DJC VERSION TWO 'VIRTUAL' KNOBS APPEAR ON THE SCREEN. DO I HAVE TO USE MY MOUSE TO GAIN THE DESIRED AMOUNT OF FLANGE AS IT WERE OR IS THERE SOMETHING I'M MISSIN ON THE Rmx THAT WOULD CONTROL THEM?
 
im not sure if it can be remapped but, from that perspective it would have to be mouse controld to get the setting of flanger your lookin for.. and if im wrong you will see a follow up post with corrected answers..LOL

JUST WANNA SAY THANKS TO EVERYBODY FOR THEIR ADVICE REGARDING MIXER CHOICE,SET UP ETC. ESPECIALLY THE FIRST FEW WHO RESPONDED AND STEERED ME TO THE RMX. IT'S AWSOME. CHEERS DAWG,TAYLA, STAFFY AND EVERYONE ELSE. LEGENDARY! KEEP SPINNIN,FRAZ.
