after reading user comments at amazon it seems like a nice card for expanding your desktop but I don't think it would work for a high quality video output. could be useful depending on a user's application.

I believe these cards are not cable of carrying very large information over the USB port so video playback slows down. They are coming out with new ones that are supposed to be faster. You should visit displaylink.com to learn more about their technology, the license it out to everybody else.
