I thinking about getting ome ear plugs to save my hearing. Any suggestions on ones that feel comfotable or do a good job.

I have been a DJ for over 25 years and never seen the need for earplugs.
Just playing the music in your venue at a volume that's safe for yourself, your customers and the venue staff does the trick perfectly well.

yes for bigger venues where they have thousands of watts of music power.. i would recomend a company called 'Proguard'
do a search around because they do have a few supplyers, but for about £100 they have a kit where you can do a simple mold of your ear and you get custom fitted earprotectors, that are so descrete, other people wont notice you have then in.
though you could start with the ones you get in the DIY for a few £'s but i dont think they will give you proper protection over a huge sound system.
Ear protection should be taken seriously!
ive been playing for just over 17 years and im noticing that some people dont sound clear enough to me when they talk.
ALTHOUGH, i dont stuggle to hear the TV or Radio, Other people have issues with those quiet talkers.. maybe its their hearing thats bad, not mine (or yours).

15 years here, what? Get it? Get earplugs if you can. I am a mobile and can't. Hearing is definitely impaired. Huh? What did you say?

its never too late.
if your hearing is already impaired, then you should protect what you have left.
also look for the movie 'Its All Gone Pete Tong' about a dj who completely loses his hearing 100%...

Great movie, and it really brings home the fear of losing ones hearing. Get's quite strange when the 'coke badger' turns up though!

I've been holding the beer monster off for a while now. I learned a long, long time ago that beer and mixing don't er, well, mix!! :)
