I am in need of assistance, I have a HD2500 Denon Controller And i have an external keyboard and external hard drive. I have put folders onto the drive IE mastermix 90's now i have created a database using the controller not the denon music manager and yes it is the latest version. Now i have done a search for some songs and they are not showing up :( and I know they are on the drive is there anyone in the uk that has the hd2500 so that i can phone them I am really desperate and need this up and running by the weekend.

When you say you created a database, how? Did you add the folder as a favorite, or add it to the searchdb, or something else?
 
Hi SBDJ i created the database using Denon Music Manager it said did I want to register all the files I said yes. I have a lot of compliation albums and when cdex rips them it says Various artists which they are but when searching for them they don't show but i have found them by typing in part of the file name like Hands up by Reef. It says under artist No artist but under title it says Reef_Put your hands up. this is getting rather complicated is there an easy solution
 
I didn't think Denon Music Manager had anything to do with VDJ?

For VDJ to be able to see those files, you'll have to be able to see them from "My Computer" as some sort of drive. If you can see that, the browse to it in VDJ, right click and add it as a favorite.

The actual search result will depend on filename and tags.
 
Hi SBDJ thank you for your reply.I am not using Virtual DJ with this controller it is only the controller and the hard drive. So this really only goes out to people who just use the controller and a hard drive no software ie virtual DJ
 
Maybe you should try the Denon forum.
 
or i think you can rip cd in media player then make playlist ect copy to flashdrive then put on denon hd in a file with whatever name you want
 
how to connect external hard drive to denon-hd2500 i need help
