Topic: Setting up Denon DN-HD2500

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I just updated my new Denon DN-HD2500 with the latest firmware how do I make sure all of the buttons corispond properly with VDJ functions for example the three FX buttons seem to be assigned to the wrong effects how to I change this?

For example FX2 is a Backspin effect but needs to be a flanger effect how and FX3 seems to also be assigned to the Backspin effect when it should be the Filter effect.

Updating just the device's firmware should not of changed the mapped FX assignments. Unless the firmware upgrade changed the MIDI code assignments.

Have you customized the mapping at all ?

I just got the unit today... it had firmware v1001 on it so I updated to the latest from the Denon website which is v1400.

I haven't customized the mapper in VDJ v.6.0.3 and am using the defualt settings in he mapper.

Go into CONFIG -> Mappers and choose the HD2500 from the drop-down list.

Click + (Add) and press the FX button you wish to change.

Type one of the following in the action box, as appropraite:

effect 'backspin' active

effect 'flanger' active

effect 'filter' active

(You can use the name of any effect of your choice in the '')

Thanks I'll give that a shot... does the name of the effect need to match presicely how it is in the effects selector in the skin?

They need to be FX1 - Echo, FX2 - Flanger, and FX3 - Filter

I'm sure I can figure it out for myself so I'm just looking for validation that I'm doing it right.

Thanks

The name needs to match the filename of the effect, which in most cases should be the same as displayed in the selector on the skin.

If you are not sure, you can always browse to My Documents -> VirtualDJ -> Plugins -> SoundEffect to check.
