I saw these at Frys the other day, wondering if it would really make a difference using them or not. It says can go as fast as 1200 Mbps data transfer rate.
Anyone using these? would it affect the power output if using multiple devices ie external hardrive, soundcard, midi controller?
1200 Mbps data transfer rate

I would say "Yes" because there better quality than a standard lead, better quality usually means better performance.

If you are using USB 2.0 it is a waste since it is limited to 480 Mbps. USB 3.0 will support up to 4.8 Gbps when the devices become available. They will also require new cables.

$30 for a 3ft cable.. the usual Monster Crock..
Honestly, USB doe snot require this nonsense, just use your average normal priced cables.. no problem..
It's the same nonsense they try to sell you on their speaker and signal cables..
Just say no!
