What up beat monsters,
I just started using Time Coded Vinyls, I'm using the RMX as my mixer, and I have a few questions to anyone who would be so kind. When mixing and beat matching should I leave Beatlock on or off. Also I'm having issues with My BPM drifting in the + and - enough to throw beats out of Sync in as little as 8 bars. The only hotfix I've noticed is to repeatedly hit the sync buttons (and I'm talking like 20 times per song), but this is wearing my RMX buttons faster than they need to be, and is rendering my unable to do the effects i would like, LOL!
I've adjusted my Pitch Sens to .50% didn't seem to make a difference. Im using Serato CV02's. Is it my turntable doing this or the software I dont know. Help please =D

are you using belt or direct drive tt's?? i have belr drive and had the same problem, i changed the belts and it went away

I'm using direct drive TT's , The problem is annoying not fatal, but I'm not complaining, just hoping for a fix.

I used to have this issue, the right TT would always fall behind the left one. This is caused by the TTs themselves, even though they might be at absolute zero on the pitch fader, the motor might be worn because of use or even a slight difference in voltage might cause a slight difference in rotations.

i myself use the pitch fader on the TTs themselves to beatmatch, but if you want to be able to just hit the sync button, bump the slower TT slightly so it turns a bit faster/as fast as the other one and leave it. You can also try and put both pitch faders on the TTs at +1 or -1 this might adjust rotation speed on the TT motors....

hope it helps, Cheers!

Thanks for the response, I'll see what I can manage with that =D

another thing you could try is to use a shorter cable for the deck thats falling behind. shorter cable means faster data travel...which may solve your problem. you may already have different length cables which could be the cause.

i used to get an echo effect on my sound system becaues there was a time delay from the difference in cable length. this is why a lot of sound systems have time delay adjustments.

just a thought but its always worth a try.

If you want to use TT : Please , don't use Beatlock . It's not good 4U .

hi man-tk, please could you explain a little more on why not to use beatlock with TT's?? thanks

I would have to agree, after a little experimenting with it. It makes the tracks skip and while keeping the Beat "locked" it often skips and throws the bass (big bars) and little bars out of sync.

so i take it you sorted it out?

Didn't fix it, but I've discovered A way to cope with it =).
