hi guys im thinking about buying a set of Soundlab DLP32 direct drive TT's. just wondering your opinions on these as opposed to my gemini belt drive TT-01's..
ive heard good and bad things about these tt's so am unsure. all help appreciated. cheers..

never mind, i went ahead and bought them anyway.
a pair of soundlab DLP 32S tt's for just £14.99
fully working with carts and styli..
cant get much better than that considering ive read reviews that say on some tests they out performed the 1210's only on start up speed and a few features though, but hey who wouldnt pay £14.99 for a pair of these TT's

Great deal on what is not a terribly good set of decks. They will be ok for home use but if you want to gig with them they can be B*****ds for picking up feedback.
But like you said fot less than 20 quid WTF cares.

well to be honest daz im not too sure is i am going to keep them. i have a little money maker up my sleeve and if it works im going to make me a few quid. i think ill use them first and see what i think.
at the moment im using a pair of gemini TT-01 belt drives so i though of several things really.
keep the geminis because theyre brand new still with the boxes, then sell the SLab's for a proffit.
or keep the SLab's cuz they driect drive and sell the gemini's for a proffit.
or trade in bothe sets for a greater proffit in the way of a better set of TT's and maybe some cash.

Hi mate
If you can put up without your TT's for a while I think its trade up time for you. Be patient and get the cash together for what you realy want. You have been doing this long enough to stop considering yourself as a beginer DJ so treat yourself to what you need.

well daz my friend, i went and clooected the Slab tt's today, and quess what, they have ortofon concordes with them :D

i want some 1210s and am working on saving for them already. in the mean time im not sure which decks to use i might just keep both for now and see how things go. afterall for £15 with ortofons on them then i think i got an effing sweet deal. one ot the little arms has broken off one of the carts but that doesnt effect its functionality. i also plan to get some new styli for them as they dont seem to be in vgood condition.
the tt's though are in really good condition one has the tone arm clip missing and they dont have lids but who's commplaining ther? not me thats for sure.
