mixing videos with the dn-s3700s? the price tag is $1749 and i'm sure it's even more with taxes but i'd love to know what you think about this system...

I've wondered about an Alienware laptop...but you should look at the "Video Freeze problem Identified" you'll see theres problems with windows 64 bit right now...Vdj will run fine with 32 though...but yeah..Awsome computer if not a bit pricey...what about the previous models? them are nice too!
 
Is that about Denon decks? sorry...but if your Running Virtual Dj on a new Alienware with windows 7 and 64 bit maybe you start a new thread topic on that. I think a lot of us would be interested in finding out how you do it....
 
I bought exactly the same laptop and I returned it back. Yes, it's super fast but it's USB and Firewire performance is poor with audio interfaces.
The design is ugly and it's heavy. Dell's returns are hell...

For this money I would try Macbook or pro audio notebooks like http://www.adkproaudio.com/
 
yeah...Thought of that...mac and pc? 2 different worlds that one should master? So what would be the best Pc laptop? hummm..and yeah the new design are ugly! its like they tried too hard too make them "OUT OF THIS WORLD"but I liked the original Area 51 series though in the beginning there were problems with overheating and such.

Get it with Win 7 Pro if you must, Fast machine no doubt.

ended up getting the alienware...love it, flawless so far.
