I've had this issue happen several times. Even got to happen 4 times in a night.

To cut the story short... the M-Audio Conectiv uses up 500mA of power which your laptop may have troubles supplying

Drop outs happen when you laptop doesnt have enough power to supply to your conectiv

GO GET AN AC ADAPTER and I assure you this wont happen again....

Ive noticed mine happens when the lights man starts fooling around with the strobe lights in the club. Clearly a sign of power disruption on my laptop.

Cheers!

Dj Jamm Here.

1. go to best buy and get a universal a/c power adapter wall wart
Min spec for connective per user manual page8 for a/c adapter is 9volt dc 500ma

I reccomend this one --> it will support up to 1700ma

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Jensen+-+Universal+AC+Adapter/8513619.p?id=1186006195845&skuId=8513619&st=jensen&cp=1&lp=8

or this one will work

It is 500ma

2. You need a Battery backup (UPS) with the power you are using plugged into the Battery backup side of the ups, some people use them and seriously dont plug into the correct outlets, I use an apc and its great works awesome.

3. Need to make sure that your wireless card and any other hardware that you do onot need is disabled in device manager, usy the latency ckeck tool DPC latency checker expirement wit this it will help you lower your latency , also if you adjust your soundcard latency you can see a difference- find whats most stable for you..

just copy the http:links and past them into your internet browser address window

Hope This helps, David J komorowski

Hey! ONE MORE QUESTION!

When I plug in an AC adapter in my Conectiv, it STILL doesnt turn on!

When you guys plug into your AC adapters, does it turn on immediately, or do you have to plug in the USB port for it to turn on?

Thanks!!
