I'm happily spinning along & after only half an hour tik tik tik bzz bzz bzz tik tik tik goes the music. Grrr! Shut down re-open VDJ & away we go again for a couple of songs & blammo tik tik tik bzz bzz bzz goes the music! Double Grrr!
At this point I shut down the computer, re-boot & actually installed Version 5.02 out of sheer frustration. Off we go again just as the bar is getting slammed tik tik bzz bzz yet again. Now I'm really Grrr!
I happened to be using a USB I normally don't use, going to my Numark IO. I change it and voila, no problem for the rest of the night! Grrr! lol
Remember to check the simple fixes first, as it is not always the program or even the computer at fault. As Benny Hill says, "Learning all ze time" lol
I usually carry both my lappy's with me just in case of a problem, & am glad I didn't tonight as I would probably had not figured out the problem.

A bit off topic but still a "WTF is going on here" story; It's 20 minutes before my start time and I'm all set up but for some reason the timecode signal from one of my turntables is all messed up so I start trouble shooting. I change the RCA cables, change the USB cable, swap my needle with the other turntable, swap the timecode vinyl, check the line/phono switch on my VirtualVinyl soundcard, reboot my MacBook and nothing's working!!! Then at the last minute I notice that the tone arm lever (the lever that raises and lowers the tone arm) is half way up causing the needle to just barely touch the vinyl. I lower the tone arm and voila, 100% timecode signal!! I was half relieved and half pissed off at myself for not noticing the cause of the problem right off the bat.

Kinda like having everything ready to go & you have no sound coming through your headphones or any channels & then you realize that you forgot to turn the mixer on lol It's always the simplest of fixes for things that drive you crazy sometimes lol
