I recently removed a Video card and restored my computer to factory setup.
I re-assembled it and plugged it in. And something went POP!!!! and I saw a puff of electrical smoke. I now have a paperweight.
Good thing I built a serviceable backup system for tonights lounge gig.
Now I have to build another G*d d**med computer.
I think a quad-core on an ITX mini board; might do the trick.

See that's what happens when you let the smoke out.... But really that sticks.

7 hours full video gig.
ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS!!!! with my ATOM dual core backup computer. I'm completely blown away by this little thing more and more as I use it.
I'm gonna tear down my main rig tomorrow to see what the hell happened.

I'll know today guys - I didn't bother to take it apart yesterday. was too pissed off.

Took the computer apart and replaced the power supply...
No video output. My office desktop blew the power supply as well it failed in spectacular fashion - lots of pops and sparks.
Neither computer has video output any longer.
I'm seriously screwed here. I'm faced with replacing motherboards I think.
Time to weigh the cost/benefit of replacing motherboards (both are out of production now) and trying to re-configure vista or salvaging what parts I can out of them and replacing the whole units.

Hey,
Being an automobile mechanic, I can help you with this. We got the Smoke Machine Leak Detector. You can borrow it from me, just put back some smoke back in, should do the trick.

HAHAHA Kidding
Hope your new Computer works well.
