Just a heads up for anyone using XP 32bit home or pro and M Audio Conectiv sound card. I rebuilt my dj pc using a new WD Black drive on the weekend and decided to 'downgrade' to XP Pro from Vista. Interestingly, this has sped up my machine greatly and I can now run full screen secondary video with effects and no glitches with 128 sample rate. Previously my Vista pc wouldnt do it and I had to run my secondary video output in a window to avoid audio glitches. Maybe I had some problems with my Vista install as I had tried everything to get this working (see previous posts), but anyways back to the story...
The latest XP drivers on the M Audio site do not work properly for ASIO. You get errors when selecting sample rates saying sample rate not supported, etc. Although it still appears to work, performance will be affected, so if you tick the box on the M Audio download page that says 'older versions' and select the driver 'Conectiv_V32_5_10_00_5112v2'. That is the correct current driver for vdj and 32bit versions of XP.
