Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

ok i thought id give timecode a try but its just so laggy and doesnt respond right to backspinning / scratching and it barely ever registers thepitch change, and when it does it usually takes atleast a minute, compared to using a freinds serato, its a dinosaur

hardware:
american audio versaport (same soundcard supplied with reloop spin, intimidation touch etc) http://www.adjaudio.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ItemNumber=1374&Category=21&txtSearch=Versaport

serato cv02's
numark tt200's
kam needles (i thought the needles and decks might be the problems, but its the same on my freinds 1210's and ortofons
gemini mixer (grim)
laptop specs - celeron 1.6, 2g ram, vista, but i turn off all the useless stuff like wifi when im mixing
tried all different performance settings and still no dice, cpu never jumps above 60% except when loading up a tune, usually sits around 30 - 40

anyone got any ideas, or is the performance normally this bad?

have you set up your TC's in vdj properly? and is your latency matched in both vdj and your soundcard control panel?

theres a million and five things you could tweak and twiddle to try and solve your problem. it just takes time and patience.

You have your timecode set up incorrectly. There is a whole wiki page dedicated to getting your timecode setup, I would recommend reading it.

What version are you using? LE doesn't do timecode as far as I know...

im using vdj 6 trial, wanna make sure i can get it running smooth before i drop the extramony or im just better off buying serato

I want to buy a gemini cdj210 and want to use with timecode system, but i dont know how does it work. Can writes somebody some review?Thnx for help!!!!

I'm running VirVinyl 6.0.2 on a MacPro w/Tiger OS.
Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.33 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
I have tried Technics1200's (vinyl) & DenonDN-S500 (cd) for timecode control. As of this post the 1200's were more reliable. I've found this sites tech help to be useless so far.
When using timecode vinyls, set the gain so the egg shape circle is NOT the size of the box grid but rather half that. This is so when backspinning the signal won't distort as much. You can get decent backspin action if you do it steady, but I'm a battle dj & I'm ready to go with Pioneer1000's & Serato. Sorry VDJ but it seems I'm not the only one let down.

If you're serious & making the $ to invest it back, you'll find this mind-blowing...... also, check their site:

Everything they say in that video you can do with VDJ and you dont have to go out and spend another 200 bucks to do it!! Sorry your having so many problems and as far as getting help from this site, what are you talking about?? USELESS?? Nah dont think so..........everytime I have evry ran into a snag the team has been nothing but helpful, theyve gone as far staying up late(7hour difference for some) just to help me through Skype. I dont use anything but turntables so when it comes to cdj's I'm no help but there are a ton of guys here who have and will help you out with whatever you need, hell they even have videos showing you how to do it. And seems you say your a battle DJ why would you go with Serato??? Every great battle dj (Qbert, Rafik, etc.) all say Traktor is the way to go.......research my friend. Thats just my 2cents. But anyways good luck bro.

@ Huey - I hear ya but with a busy download sched & file genre arrangement + a 9-5, time is not on my side. When I asked about timecode issues I got a link response. When that was no help & I explained again my issues, I got another differently worded response with the same link. Maybe I don't participate enough to get better help. I'm now using vinyl control, so far so good. BTW... Hercules was a waste of time. I was into battle in mid 80's. 30 years later I still have the battle strategy but Q-Bert & them are doin' it. I'd be better in Traction than Traktor...LoL...
Hey, anyone know why files play back warbley and currently playing waves may jump or skip when loading a new track on the other deck?

Searto time code vynil /cd's are more accurate but were never stable night to night for me. VDJ timcode, less accurate but almost no issues at low latency. I would have skips/jumps/distortion/cue point issues. On some sound cards I used, Serato TCV's were almost useless. I spent many hours to get them to work, but VDJ TCV were solid almost plug and play setup. I'm sure people will say otherwise. I understand about not having enough time to troubleshoot, day job, baby, music downloads, djing and maybe a few hours to sleep.
