Topic: is this a suitable Lap-Top???

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

i've just found an Advent 5611 lap-top with dual core Celeron T1600, 160GB Harddrive, 1GB RAM, with Vista Home premium for £250...

Is this ok to use with VDJ and RMX console???

Does anyone have any experience with this Lap-Top??? any downsides to using this Lappy???

Not sure if its 32 bit or 64 though. I've read that the 32 bit version is much less "Glitchy" with VDJ etc.

Thanx all.

The spec is probably OK for audio only I guess, but be aware that Advent are low end models sold by DSG and are pretty much regarded as crap. You get what you pay for. It will be 32bit as it only has 1gb RAM and the spec is quite dated. Celeron are pretty much low end processors. I wouldn't use an advent laptop as a book end to be brutally honest. If you want to scrimp on budget then be aware that £250 is not much for a laptop and you will get bottom end stuff.

I'd stay well away from Celerons. Have a look on www.ebuyer.com for some good deals.

Cheers,

OK, HOWS THIS ONE???

# Processor - Intel Pentium T3400 / 2.16 GHz ( Dual-Core )
# RAM - 3 GB DDR2 SDRAM - 800 MHz ( 1 x 1 GB + 1 x 2 GB )
# Hard Drive - 320 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm
# Operating System - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
# Screen - 15.6' TFT 1366 x 768 ( WXGA )
# Optical Drive - DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM
# Graphics - Intel GMA X4500

Would this be a better option for running VDJ on....?
