Topic: CANT CHANGE BROADCAST INFORMATION VDJ 5.0.2!

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

imac , snow leopard 10.6.2 , 4gb ram,

alright chaps i am not able to change previously inputted data for broadcasting, the information that i inputted first time round will not delete or be over written. even when i un-install the program and then re-install the program the same data is still present. is there anywhere on the mac that i can look to try and delete some sort of saved file that is holding my old information. this too me seems to be a overwite issue within vdj 5.0.2. i just find it funny how i un-installed the program and then re-install it and the old information is still present............ any help would be massivley appreciated. thanks in advance. dale.

hi thanks for reply am i i to just do an install over the top of the 5.0.2 to see if this fixes the problem?

Yes;)

right ok. done an instalation over the top and it just loaded up a different version named "trail" (within the applications folder) which is great........... BUT low and behold the same information is present on the newer trail version from the old 5.0.2 it simply wont let me change the broadcast information and its doing my head in................... do you know of anywhere within the imac where it saves inputted data for applications or something. or some settings within preferences where i can choose for the imac NOT to save any information within application software. pls help me im going mad! thanks. dale.

and can i just add its fine having a trail version but it doesn't have a configuration tab so unable to set up cards and speakers etc etc etc so it works the way i want it too. so no good.

figured it all out thanks alot its workin fine now only one problem remains................ it wont let me change the headphone part of the config it simply just stays on front and rear and wont let me change to front and centre!!!!!!!!!! any idea's?

Hello dalehowarth,

I also get front and rear output as only choice for the audio positioning, but I don't understand why it is a problem for you.

I don't understand why do you prefer to play the headphones preview on the center/subwoofer output instead of playing the headphones on the front or on the surround.

Anyway, if you want to change it, you can go in Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup and:
- in the field Properties For: choose your audio device
- click on Configure Speakers and, in the Multichannel setting, if you have a 5.1 sound card, choose Hexagonal, and replace the channel of your surround outputs (outputs 3 & 4) with the channel of the rear outputs (output 5 & 6) and vice versa.

thanks very much i have now fixed this!!!!!!!! but i now have occured a seperate problem. when i start to broadcast on music sites it crashes after 15 seconds. i am trying to broadcast to a site that has radio hosting that if im right is shoutcast radio hosting. how come the radio is crashing am i unable to broadcast through shoutcast via a website.........

I'm wondering how this dale fellow fixed his problem, my password absolutely will not change under broadcasting options.
