So I tried a little experiment with this version and concluded:

when I connect to the TV via VCA I have lots of video issues (screen rolls, etc)
when I connected via RCA yellow adapter I have very minimal issues

I suppose when connected via VGA there is some upscaling which is really taxing the GPU?

Thats interesting, i would think it would be more taxing the other way... Depending on the Mac i guess... The newer machines dont have analogue video out anymore, so its back to using TV to go card... This is why i have not upgraded to a new machine...

we use snow leopard a denon 1700 mixer/midi controller/sound card and a denon 5500 midi controller no external hard drive...we play from internal...and no problems what so ever...3 pieces of gear is all u need...keep it simple and you will have way fewer problems

Interesting theory, but in reality you probably have a ground loop in you VGA signal, it can be fixed by lifting the ground on the source or input.

Its worth mentioning that on the newer unibody Mac Book Pros there is no S-Video out,

min-Display Port to VGA

I dont think this is to do with keeping things simple, audio glitches and video jumping are independent of what controller you have connected

Hi guys,

I've been doing video on VDJ PC for years, and I'm anxiously awaiting a Mac build I can use.

Sadly, this update still has "tearing" on the video out, ie, you can see 2 separate frames or fields of video happening simultaneously on different parts of the screen. It's most noticeable on video content that has lots of motion. I've experienced this on every version of version 6 so far. Is this a known issue?

Oh well, switching back to the PC version, unless anyone has any hints.

(I'm on OS X 10.6.3, non-unibody MacBook Pro...no additional sound cards or midi controllers plugged in. Video out via composite cable.)
