Topic: How do you finish off your night - Page: 1

Questa parte dell'argomento è obsoleta e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate

Depending on what Venue I am covering depends on how I finish the night. One of my popular endings

"Thank you for your company, have a safe journey home, and if you are drinking and driving make sure you have a car". Goodnight!

Always leaves a smile on someones face.

depends on the gig .....

at mobile gigs i have a list of dozens of great outros, some of which r video

at the strip club , i have my world famous "torture songs" ......

"any one still here in 30 minutes has to help clean up"

I want to thank each and every single one of you for coming out and partying tonight.

If you have a bar tab please close it out right now.

If you don't have a bar tab please make your way to the door.

Thanks we'll see you again tomorrow night.

On that note!

You don't have to go home but you can't stay here.

If you don't know somebody that works here, sleeping with somebody that works here, then you have to go.

Once again if you're not sleeping with the help then you've got to go.

I was told LIL Wayne's limo is outside and he's signing autographs, if you hurry you can get one. (I change the artist around Jay-Z, Kanye etc...)

THIS IS JUST ONE I USE!

with a beer! lol

Trust you Robin LOL, You sure deserve it having listened to your mixes ;)

My usual Friday night sign off is;

"That's all we've got time for tonight, if you want more you'll have to come back again tomorrow night when DJ (DJ name) is here. I'll be back again on Sunday, see you then..............."

.........then play a generic jingle by Chuck Fresh;
"Thank you for coming out tonight, now please be careful going wherever you're going. Goodnight!"

Occasionally I play another Chuck Fresh jingle;
"Thank you for coming out tonight, now get your ass outta here!"

then I say;

"Could you please finish your drinks off and make your way outside, thank you. Goodnight" (repeated after five minutes)

I'm so polite :-)

"WE'VE HAD YOUR MONEY, NOW F*** OFF!"

"I want to thank each and everyone of you for coming out tonight! As a reminder, say no to drugs. Yes to safe sex! Be sure you put it on, before you put it in. A tiskit a tasket a condom or a casket, the life you save could be mine. You don't have to go home, you just can't stay here. Remember, I'm Tear 'Em Up Terry and your not! Be Safe, God Bless! Good Night everybody." While the Nylon's Kiss Him Good bye was playing. Is how I used to end my nights. Now I just crawl into bed after unloading the sound system ;-)

i've actually changed ours lately..
our doorman is a very large "good ol' boy" type - called Red. he's one of the great big teddybear types that is almost worth his weight in gold when it comes to customer PR at the front door. and at the end of the night i have him say the magic words in his 'rednecktified' way:

head 'em up, move 'em out!

the man has some serious lung capacity and volume... when he does it the entire building hears it. the customers and our floormen love it.

and on his nights off - porky pig saying "th-tha-tha-that's all bitches" or Leslie Nielsen as Lt. Frank Drebin of Police Squad - "Move along. Move along folks. Move along, nothing more to see here"

Ha ha ha, I sometimes use the polite version;

"We've got your money, you can go now!"

You need to get that sampled so you can still do it on his nights off...

Roy

I have a recording I did of a bunch of different sound snippets from different things that I play at the end of the night, I might upload it and post it, but that requires hooking up my external drive, lol.

I use a few:

(while playing the "Price Is Right" theme)

"...and I'm Bob Barker, reminding you to help control the pet population, have your friends spayed or neutered! Thank you and GOOD NIGHT!"

-or-

(in a semi-cheesey Voice)

"I'm Casey Kasem, reminding you to keep your head in the clouds, your feet on the ground and your d*ck in your pants... Now get the F*ck out! ...and, oh yeah, drive careful biatches!" (I can't claim this as my own...I remember hearing it before)

-finally-

"If you're drinking, don't drive and if you're driving, don't drink. If you drink and drive and you get pulled over:
number one...we're all going to come to court and laugh at you - dumbass!
number two...if you drink and drive and you get pulled over YOU WERE NOT HERE! Tell the police you were at (insert closed down or non existent bar name here)"

Have fun!

I put on "Menudo's Greatest Hits"
I don't have to say a word, people leave on their own volition with no questions asked.

@ Renee, I know we are not supposed to share but can I get a copy of that Menudo's Greatest Hits? : )

ok guys good night godbless and safe home and if your drink driving dont spill it as the bar is closed.
ok folks ive to go home with the sexy bar girl now so you have to leave.hope you all enjoyed your night mine starts now thank you

I usually get them the f**k out by finishing off with a cheesy TV theme song from the 70s or 80s (i.e. Love Boat, Welcome Back Kotter, Three's company etc.) . The question marks inevitably register on their faces as they head for the door.

I ALWAYS FINISH OFF WITH THAT MORECAME & WISE CLASSIC,BRING ME SUNSHINE.iTS VERY CATCHY.& CHEESY.
