Topic: HELP...Windows 7 and my Databse

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I just installed Win7 Pro 32bit on my giger and let me tell you something, this OS is sweet. I have the Numark Ns7 which I had been using with wINXP Pro but the difference is night and day with WIN7, which is specially noted on the resource bar. Using XP it use to toggle between 75% - 100% but with Win7 Pro, its now 25% - 50% therefore the OS really had made a signficant impact on my giger.
There is one minor issue which can be major depending on how you view it, I am not seeing over 90% any of my CUE Points. Also my virtual folders have disappeared, no BPM figures.
Could you guys advise me how to restore all these. Thanks in advance.

Hey,

did you saved the complete VirtualDJ Folder, located at C:?
In this folder are the most needed informations, like Filter Folder etc.

When you have a copy of this folder, insert this one into the location. C://documents/

Did your harddrive (where your music is stored) have the same drive letter like before?
If not, you must change the drive letter.

Then it should work again.

Hope it helps

Thanks Haui70 for the quick response however heres my situation.
In my giger, I have 2 hard drives, one with the OS (new drive) and the second having all my files video files only. Doesnt Virtual Dj saves all the required information to the drive where the video files are stored, as in my present case I will end up having two drive letters.
Secondly, I'm seeing an .XML file on the music video hdd with all my data, I went and copied this file (Virtual Local Database v6) into the My Documents Library found on the OS drive but nothing still comes up.
Any other suggestion guys, I hate when this happen man.

sorry made this vid earlier for you but got called away.... hope it helps mate.

Hey Tayla, long time no see. I actually figured out this morning the steps how to reinstitute the database onto the new OS, however I have a quick question.

If you have 3 hard drives in a giger
1. Operating system
2. Music Videos
3. Audio
What is the process to amalgamate both .xml files in to My Documents Folder?

ooh crap, never tried it to be honest, i wonder if because they are on three seperate machines you may need to copy each one into the docs folder, give it a try nothing spoiling i suppose, let me know the outcome.

or try Rick or Chris, or maybes one of the other guys could jump in and add something.
