i was happy to download vdj 6.07 only to be disappointed.my dns h5500 midi now doesn't work,when u flip the layer button the track playing stops.i just have one question for vdj developers,is the focus on functionality or is it just expansion.if you notice any update is usually a bug fix,but its a bug fix with more issues if it aint video problems,then its search,or database or sound engine issues.why cnt we have the old versions which were basic but functioned flawlessly.it doesn't make sense to add support for 1000 midi controllers, but still have video freeze.my frustration is vdj was the pioneer of dj software interfaces,now video is the future,software crashes r a thing of the past 6.05 crashes if i leave my midi player idle for a while.i love this software,but to go to a gig and brag how u cn miix video;but to do it u have to turn off video acceleration off, to avoid video freeze means you cant showcase some of the off the chain effects vdj has.my serato counterparts just buy a simple plugin and a midi mixer and a mac book n thats it.for me its tweaks,thousand programs, i.e game booster.seriously vdj developers should concentrate on sound engine,and video engine in their next update, 4get bout midi expansions,netsearch(u cn buy music).Dont get me wrong i love vdj ive been in the game since atomix and i always tell my other dj buddies vdj is the future!!!

Many people - myself included - gig with VDJ week in week out using video with multiple plugins. The problem seems to be with certain systems and there are plenty of threads for those people having issues. For example the video freeze has been resolved for a lot of people now and a big part of 6.0.7 was work on the video engine. I'm not really aware of any real outstanding database issues and personally have no problem with the sound engine either (I use an external mixer though).
If you're having a crash when idle that might suggest further issues that maybe you should be investigating?

I have this exact problem too. not only that, the song flutters by speeding up and slowing down, like you're rocking the pitch slider up and down above and below 0. If you try and backspin the platter, it rolls the song back some but then it plays slow for a good 1-2 seconds before it resumes back to its "normal" play. Its like theres something completely jacked with the latency. I rolled VDJ back to the 6.0.5 version where the denons work
