Hello gang,
Thanks to help from DJCel and the support team I have fixed a few issue and I am planning to roll out a new version (already) of DJ Patterns. I would like to see if there are any requests for this application.
Version 1.5
Bug fixes:
* Issue with search (not always finding media)
* Some minor code changes to improve speed during scan
* Issues with checking attributes in the DB/XML for media details (thanks DJCel)
* Check the "Local" database for media details if not in the "main" db/xml
New features
* Search for media dialog starts when the application starts. This saves two clicks (oooh, ahhh)
* Search next (find the next instance of what you were searching for)
* Option to display unused media. This process can take a folder and search through all sub folders looking for media that has not been included in all of the playlists. Depending on how many tunes/videos you have this can take some time, but the process can be cancelled. If the process is stopped and then restarted the code checks for duplicates so that will not be an issue.
Coming after this version is complete will be version 2.0
* Code changed from VB.NET to C#
* Adding search to sub nodes. Currently all media get a top level in the tree, but you may want to run a search on where a media is anywhere in the process.
* Genre display/sorting. I am planning on loading genres based on what is in the VDJ database and then allowing you to choose one or more and sort the entire list down to just those genre.
So, if there are other abilities that you would like this app to do please let me know.
