Since Hercules RMX has a onboard sound card and a mic input, is it possible to assign different effects just to the microphone (like echo, flanger ... ) ?
Or should I just go for the Hercules Steel and contiune using a USB 5.1 sound card (see below ) for both headphone preview, sound out and mic.

I dont have the RMX nor use a mic on my computer (external mixer for me)..
but 1.) I dont think?? you can apply DSP to the mic input.
and 2.) reading the forums, a few people have said the mic input on the RMX is not too great.
