Topic: Timecode Searched Still Not Working With RMX

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

First of all I have searched quite a few postings dealing with timecode issues and I have yet to see any addressing the issues that I am having. I have installed all the latest updates and firmware from the hercules site and still the problem is not solved :(

The problem that I am haveing is when setting up the timecode for the RMX the second dropdown box does not show the Rmx when selecting the sound card. It also reads "error in asio sound driver" my settings are this,

Inputs: Timecode
Outputs: Single Outputs
Soundcard: Asio Driver

As I stated before the second drop down box does not show the Rmx, I followed this setting listed by SKYFXL,

http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/skyfxl/blogs/2133/MK2_and_Timcode_Guide_for_those_having_issues_with_V4_and_above_.html

I have an HP HDX 18 64bit system,

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.53GHz
Memory: 4GB DDR3
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB

I have recently installed 6.07 and have the same issues, any help getting this worked out will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

still having problems?

Hi,

I dont seem to have any problem with Timecode and RMX. I have other issue, but I still can mix and scratch with it. I only have problem with some latency issue, but I believe is somes miss configuration.

Did you try to make the RMX working without any turntable or external mixer?
If so, do you have the same error? Sometime I have that error, I just unplug the USB and replug it then relunch the software. Also, I notice this once, when I use another USB port it will not work. I have to use the same USB all the time. (I believe I have to reinstall the driver if I want to use another USB port)

Config :
1st field = two timecode
2nd field = 2 channel external mixer
3rd field = Hercule RMX (then setup the green circles)

My setup : (if that can help you)

HP Laptop
- Windows XP SP2
- 1.83Ghz
- 1Go RAM

Sound card :
- Hercule RMX (installed with the cd that come with it, no update)

DJ set :
- Mixer 2 channels AEM-100i
- 2 Turntables Numark TT-500
- 2 Serato vinyls

hope it helps...

PS - Im new in the DJ world and also with VDJ, just wanted to help you since my setup seem to work.

Try Right Clicking and opening the Hercules Control panel Icon that should be in your taskbar (little record with DJ written on it) If your RMX is plugged in it will open, make sure you have Asio checked there and not WDM

Thanks for the help everyone, unfortunately I have the same problem with "error in asio sound driver". The Rmx works perfectly when I use it in standard mode using the Rmx strictly as a controller when runnin Virtual Dj but whenever I try using it with time codes it gives me the previously mentioned error message.

I guess I should mention that I am using turntables and the connections are fine as well as the cartridge and stylus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and firmware at least 4 times and each time I restarted my laptop and each time I tried a different usb port thinking that could be the problem and still it did not work. I have even tried different usb cables but get the same results.

If anyone has any other fixes I am open to trying them out.

Thanks

RMX works in ASIO mode when you use the setting RMX as your current soundcard. Soundcard: DJ Console RMX

Check you DJConsole Control PANEL, you maybe have there selected MIC input and has to be LINE INPUT to have proper configured the ASIO inputs for RMX and to be used by VirtualDJ.

If you upgrade your drivers, then you need to select ANOTHER SOUND CARD (even without ASIO support, like onboard PC soundcard) and APPLY, then return to Soundcard config and select RMX as your soundcard. This would replace your old settings and let you use your RMX sound card normally.
