So here is my setup:
ASUS PC w 2.2ghz, 4G ram, windows 7 64bit
Hercules RMX
2 Technic 1200's (orfton pro needles)
Virtual DJ 6 Pro
So I just picked the technics and I'm getting the hang of using them but I have a couple issues with the sound quality I'm getting from my timecodes.
1. There is a very slight pitch flutter. Its hard to describe but it almost sounds like everything is autotuned. When I look at the timecode configuration the line for vinyl signal is wavy. I've tried adjusting the settings to see if it helps but no luck so far. I've balanced my tone arms and the needle both seem fine. I don't have any regular vinyls to check if the problem is from the turntable or the software.
2. I get this little digital chirp every now and again and I'm not really sure what it's from, I think it might be related to #1.
3. 33 or 45? I have tried to search for this but I can't figure out what's the difference between them (besides the speed obviously). 45 seems to give me a little better quality.
So let me know if you got any idea whats going on here. I would love to use my turntables at my gig this weekend but not if quality is gonna be compromised.
