I just downloaded the new version 6.0.0.7 and when I try opening it on my computer which is 64 bit operation system with installed memory od 4.0 GB, and 2.20GHZ it messes up my computer and a window pops up with a recovery tab and a shut down tab. I click on teh recovery tab and it doesn't actually fix it. Any one having this poroblem or solution for it please let me know.

I have yet to have a problem with updating VDJ, but i have had issues similar to yours with other software..
basically it sounds like something got corrupted.
1.) first I would try a windows restore back a month or two..
2.) then I would completely remove all traces of VDJ (backup the .xml files of course), including removing the VDJ registry entries.
3.) I would then re-download the install. and Re--install VDJ (with full admin rights)

Im having a problem as well as other djs that work at the same club. Since i download 6.0.7 for some reason my computer will out of no where will just shut down with no warning. I have a dv7 hp vista 64 bit . My fellow dj has a hp 64bit windows 7 i forget what model but his computer does the same thing. It just shut down. Thats so embarrassing to have your computer shut down on a live gig. Does anyone have a clue whats going on and why all of sudden because of this update our computers are both shutting down with out a warning.

If you guys could look in the windows log report, that might help tell us whats crashing and why?

Off the top of my head this sounds like a heat problem, I could be wrong but for a computer to just shut off likely means its overheating.

I still run version 5.2 on my MacBook, as when I upgrade to the new version 6.0.7 it crashed all the time and this is not good when your in front of a large 300 capacity audience and you have to reload all your songs and make pathetic excuses because your DJ software crashed. So I down graded back to version 5.2 and I don't have any problems what so ever.

to be honest 6.0.7 is quite a "bad" Version for some People (i bought the Pro for the announced "improvment" for Denon Midi Controllers) but after installing it everything messes up and is far from being Pro :(
Let's pray for a good and fast 6.0.8 !!

I don't know about bad, but all the way upto 6.05 my machine ran great. Installed 6.07 and that is when things got ugly. Load a song or go into the config menu and it would take 5 to 10 seconds to respond, CPU was at a constant 25% (normally less than 5%). Then Dump stopped working, it would do everthing it was supposed to but the sound would mute.
After 3 days of issues in VDJ (6.07) I just formatted the machine and started again. I built it over a year ago and there was not much on it anyway (VDJ dedicated). I have not had an issue since the format (2 weeks ago) with VDJ 6.07. So maybe that or a REG clean, remove and reinstall of VDJ will help.
