Topic: Solved! Technics & VDJ

Alright!

After posting a thread about weak signal using Technics, I figured it out.

Here is the original thread:

http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/126752/PC_Version_Technical_Support/Weak_Signal_-Time_coded_vinyl.html

Answer to the Solution:

If you are using Turntables with Phono, YOU MUST USE A PHONO PRE-AMP TO YOUR SOUND CARD FIRST!!!

The Phono RIAA filter that VDJ comes with is garbage. It gives a weak signal, which isn't good at all for mixing/scratching. After using a phono pre-amp, I've two PERFECT green circles. So yes, you don't need to buy new CDJ's, or a Hercules RMX console...fuck that...use vinyl, use your old Technics!

Message me if you have issues!

I've sucessfully used a U46XL on Windows 7 32-bit using old Technics MK-5's with Serato Vinyl. It's possible, dont give up on turntables.

what version of vdj are you using?

@dj d-oh, so which 1 are you using and are you going, Turntable, Phono Pre-Amp, Soundcard then Mixer?

Yeah, that's exactly it.

Turntable Phono&RCA, Phono Preamp Input, Phono Preamp output, Soundcard Line/RCA input, soundcard output to Mixer.

I'm using VDJ 6.02
