Do you need this if you have 2008?

Scott, will your plug ins available for download work with C++ 2010?
 
You mean the C++ 2010 runtime? It will work with it installed, but usually they aren't backwards compatible so you would need the specific runtime installed too. None of my released plugins use the 2010 runtime.

For some reason I assumed the first post was talking about dev environments - I had my thinking hat on at the time so I apologise. I've cleaned up the thread to avoid confusion!

So:

Generally the runtime updates don't include previous versions; I've found I needed 2005 installed for plugins that use that, and 2008 installed for plugins that use that.

oh right so i'll keep both installed then, what about 2010 though
 
You can install it without issue, but none of the VDJ plugins have been compiled against it AFAIK, so it won't be used.
 
Well, virtualdj is compiled under VS2010, but it doesn't use any of the VS library, nor do the default plugins.
So you only need the VS runtime according to the plugins you donwload.
 
The next round of plugins (and updates) from me have also removed runtime requirements :)
 
Thanks. For the mean time I went looking for the ones for your plugins but ran into several options. Could you please provide the link(s) for the correct VC++ for your plugins?

Well for certain Scott is busy helping out many others.

Can anyone else assist in providing the correct links to get the VC++'s for SBDJ plugins. Specifically for Clipbank Random Video, Flip & Scroll Text.
