As usual, while we are still actively working on new features for the next major update of VirtualDJ, we will keep releasing the small bug fixes and improvements in regular smaller updates.
As such, we just made a new version, v6.0.8, available to all PRO, BASIC and LE users.

This version continues to enhance the list of natively supported controllers, and significantly improves the response of VirtualDJ when used with motorized wheel controllers (such as Numark NS7 or V7, or Denon S3700 or HS5500).
A few minor bug fixes and improvements have also made their way into this new update.

So far so good, and im using a first generation Macbook Pro
2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo
2 GB 667 MHZ DDR2 SDRAM
7200 rpm internal hard drive


Any chance getting the pre-view windows to line up??? Im playing in Miami this weekend and I have V7's shipping today, I hope and pray i will be able to use them...
 
v7's should be good, I'm using the ns7 and loving it.. the preview thing can only be fixed by using a different skin for your screen, the dev team is aware of it and its a pending fix.
 
No problem, the V7s arrived today and i cant VDJ to see them... As a matter of fact, i cant even find it in the list of controllers when i click on show all... When i look in the manual, i find only information on how to use it with Itch, but no mention on VDJ/Cue...

It works great with Itch, then again Itch only does about half of what VDJ does...
 
When i click on "show all" i can click on V7 in the list, but when i click on show only controllers that are connected, VDJ does not see the V7... The firmware is up to date on the controller, and i am using VDJ 6.8

Any ideas?
 
I can manually map the V7 in 5.2.1, but i can not get the V7 to work when i manually map in 6.0.8... Im guessing its probably something simple that i am doing wrong.
 
Are they recognized in Itch?

EDIT - Just realized this was the Mac forum - DUH!! ... if you have Bootcamp'd your Mac can you do the following?

If so, download this tool -> http://www.virtualdj.com/download/miditrace.exe <-- with no applications running, run this tool, select the V7 in both the boxes on the right so they are highlighted. Press the send button and copy back the results here.

Need to see if they changed something in the SysExID that is different from the definition file ... I don't think so, but we need to look just in case.
 
In "Itch" the V7 run's beautifully, they weren't kidding when they said this was designed for that software... The problem is, i have no intention of ever using "Itch"...

Ever since VDJ came out with 5.2.3, i took Windows XP off my machine.
 
Sad news from Numark, the V7 is basically half of an NS7... Two V7s must be connected together using the included ethernet cable in order for it to work properly in VDJ/Cue...

Numark is aware of the problem, and is currently working on a fix.

Unfortunately for me, the club that i am playing in Miami doesn't have a large enough dj booth for two V7s, so i guess i wont be using them this weekend... :-(
 
Hey,, dj's.. Im using the NS7. with my MacPro.. 17 only problem i have is.. I cannot get the Headphones to work.. is there something im doing wrong or can you just not use headphones with VDJ and the NS7...
 
on the ns7 you have to set the sound config to allow for headphones first there is also a cue mix slider that has to be on the deck you want to hear for it to work.
 
is it me or what? but Im getting mad warbles with my ns7, mac, and update 6.0.8...I'm hoping that I haven't set something right...
 
the warble sound happen when you change from the normal simple config to the ns7 sound card? What happens when you turn the motor on and off? Have you tried to restart VDJ and see if that clears it up? I got you pm we can continue the discussion here. Also one last thing to check did you have the ns7 custom mapped before?
 
im getting this same Warble sound.. some times it clears up sometimes its real bad... this just started the the 6.08.. cause 6.05 was ok... i might have to change again..

same thing here, the song ssounds warped, and itll go away when it wants to, and another thing i noticed is my cpu usage meter is always 2 bars away from being full, this all happenned ever since i upgraded to 6.0.8, anyone know of a fix?

Fully tested and used it at a sweet sixteen this past weekend. The program worked flawlessly, no hiccups at all on a 2nd gen. Macbook Pro. So satisfied, thank you VDJ!!!!!
 
Where can i find 6.08 for mac? I only see 6.07 in download center.
 
its because Numark hasn't released 6.08 for Virtual Vinyl yet.
