I have the Album Art for each song embedded into my music files using Mp3Tag Pro software, The Album Art shows up in Scratch Live software but in Virtual DJ software it does not show up, I have to do options and search all over for the Album Art and then it puts the image into the folder where my songs are.I don't need images files with the music files
The Scratch Live crates shows up in Virtual DJ but not the Album Art?

If you clicked on show covers, try to move the title bar in the browser down a bit.

Hello
Nothing has changed, I might have a album art that I created on my hard drive, but there is no option to use it or bring it in from my hard drive,
It only searches the web.
I would like to use my Company logo for all my audio files, so how can I get it to work

It has been raised several times but I guess it can't be done as yet.

I too store the covers in the MP3 tag. Mine show perfectly. What version on VDJ are you using?

I am using Virtual Dj 6.08, I use wave files and aiff only, no MP3's.
When in the software , you right click on the audio file, then file info for the album art,
The Attatched File box is ghosted out , you cant bring a album art that's on your hard drive in.
In the Config Menu under Browser, I have it set to local search only, but it still downloads album art from the web.
My Concern is that my audio files already have the Album Art embedded into the file and it shows up in Scratch Live.
My Scratch Live Crates shows up in Virtual Dj, but no Album Art.

I'm pretty sure WAV files can not be embedded with anything.. (no standards are setup for this)
Sooo... I don't think your Mp3Tag Pro software embedded the pictures in the WAV files themselves..
but instead just copied a picture to the folder..

No, the album art is embedded into the file, Media Monkey does it, Db Power Amp also does it,
There is no trace of any album art in the folder where the wave files are. Virtual DJ put the album art inside the same folder where the audio files are, it is not embedded into the file. Scratch Live shows your album art from any software you use.

I guess I should rephrase my answer ;-)
Container formatss like AAC, MP3, MP4, WMA, etc etc
had specifications in the container format that ALLOWED from day one metadata like names, pictures, lyrics to be 'embedded' the file
Where as something like a PCM Audio file (.wav or.aiff) OR other older formats/specs like mpeg1, VOB OR wrappers like AVI,
etc etc etc.. never, or only very recently had a "STANDARD" way to store that metadata
So.. ANY software thats stores pictures (or any metadata) inside a VOB or WAV file.. can read those pictures back, but their IS NO GUARANTEE that another software will follow the same rules..
Where as, any software that stores metadata in an MP3, or MP4 or WMA should and probably does follow the ISO standards, which means any other software knows how to retrieve that metadata..
I realize none of this helps you.. I just want to make sure you realize.. its the OTHER programs breaking the rules. not VDJ
