Hello. I have Vdj and would like to use Timecoded Vinyl with it.
I have resarched how to do it so. I grabed my self 2 numark tt-1520 decks. a Numark DJM 1001x mixer. an American Audio Versa Port 4x4 sound card and of course my pc.. I couldn't finde anyware online and this website Timecoded vinyl at all just for Vdj.. So I read from web surfing that Numark itself has a Djing program called Virtural DJ that uses the same timecoded frequency so I picked up 2 vinyls that I found to use with VDJ..
Sadly the skins that originaly came with VDJ were so high a resolution configuring on a labtop HP mini was proving difficult so i just wanted to see it i can get it all to work. I tried to set it up with my decktop that runs vista (though I dunno it this an issue).. After all i never ran this on the mini that has XP..
I set every thing up and as soon as I load vdj i put two tracks up. When I play the left deck it plays what ever song i want in the program and teh same with the right. The problem? after both songs play out and of course I want to keep the music going.. Lets say both songs were 4 mins long and my next song is 3 mins or 4 mins. Using the timecodes it doesn't go back to the begining of the next track but stops at 4 mins from where the 1st track i loaded ended. And if the next song was 5 mins long then it still would be at 4 mins and near the end of the track.
I can click on both tracks and move back and forth to where I want in the track when the deck is stoped but if i start to play it again it will jump back to the last point (in time) that the song before it ended.
But if i disable the timecode by pressing that button by the vinyl on the screen. And then jump to the begining and play it will play from the begining with out the time codes. But if i switched it from being non TC to TC it will again jump to the end..
How do I fix this problem so that I can play every song I have using time codes but not jumping to the end or last point in time. I place the needle at the begining of the tc vinyl each next song, I never used tc vinyl or anything before but i thought that would take it back to the begining of the song but it seems that anywhere on the vinyl as long as it plays so does the song.
I don't want to have to back spin each record just to "rewind it " so i can play the next song. Any help would be very thankfull.
