Is anyone using VDJ with the Numark MIXDECK and have any good advise on any issues and fixes?

Do a search .... this topic has already been covered and the mixdeck works well with VDJ.

I have been having some problems with VDJ & the Numark mixdeck.

Here is the problem: I recently purchased both the Numark Mixdeck as well as VDJ 6.1.2 Pro in August 2010. Both have been updated with the current firmware.

I have had (5) crashes in the last 4 gigs.

I hooked everything up, everything seems to work great, then about an hour into the gig, I noticed what sounds like a glitch or try to imagine someone turning the power on and off for a split second, I thought I tripped the circuit, but it's not the power. I also think it reminds me of a skip of a record.

The software continues to work but it no longer recognizes the mixdeck, I can't load any songs, or pressing cue, play or stop does not work. The controller (Mixdeck) will not show in the mapper, only keyboard...I try to scan for new devices but nothing.

I try to restart the computer, software, check the connections, nothing works.

I tried a different USB cord, still the same.

It has happened with different songs too.

I'm not really sure what is going on.

I'm using a Dell XPS 1710 laptop, 2.5 GHz Intel core 2 duo, 3 Gigs of Ram, XP Pro version... 2002 service pack 3, 500 gig hard drive. 1 gig NVIDIA 8800M GTX video card.


Any suggestions would be great.

I also own the mixdeck and tried using it with 6.1.2. After doing some research in the different forums, it was brought to my attention that the Mixedeck does not work with 6.1.2. You have to contact VDJ and request a special download of 6.1.1. After i did this the mixdeck works great.
