So I just had my first nightmare!!! While doing a graduation party my NS7 "powered down" and stopped playing my music. Every time I tried playing a song the audio would be choppy and after a while the motor will stop turning and the NS7 will lock up and freeze. This will also happen with Itch so I know is not Virtual DJ nor Itch is more of a hardware problem and I will be contacting Numark in regards to this but I just want to know if anyone else has had this experience. Very scared since I got a couple of gigs coming up next month. If any Nurmark rep can respond to this post I will gladly appreciate it.
Thank You,
Dj Boy

Hello,
Perhaps you had a power spike or your over powering your USB bus.
I suggest dropping us a mail or giving us a call.

I just got one, so I have not seen that yet. But I do know that there was a power supply issue with the early generation NS7s. I would contact them and they should take care of you. It is a known issue.

Yea, I called Numark and I'm getting my NS7 serviced. I have one of the NS7 that got recalled due to the diode problem.
Thank You

@skyfxl is there a recall list by serial # of which NS7's were part of the recall?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Simon,
I got my NS7 in March 2010. I never chekced if the SN is part of that batch that had the diode issue as i remember reading this was on first batches. Since mine came coupled with the NSFX i figured it cannot be part of that batch as that was considered a "new product" @ Numark.
Should i still check the SN to confirm?

Any units that where affected where long since taken back.
Unfortunately it seems a very small number of online retailers did not return the item or sold the units on to non dealers.
If your unit was purchased in march you should not have an issue.
