Topic: Will this setup work?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

hi im looking to buy virtual dj along with my first mixing and scratching set up.
I originally was planning on 2 Stanton t.62's and a mixer and eventually buying maya 44 or something to use a DVS (virtual dj)
But now im looking at a cheaper alternative, such as one turntable. I can buy 1 Stanton t.92 for the same price and a M Audio X Session usb mixer. Would this setup work? would i just need to get some sort of sound card to output headphones and speakers. (any suggestions?)

and can u add curve to vdj's crossfader cause i would plan to use that mixer to learn to scratch but it would be useless without it.

thanks

To use timecode you will need an ASIO sound card such as Hercules DJ Trim or ESI Maya44 USB (The DJ Trim is also available as a starter pack that includes the sound card, timecode records/CD's and VirtualDJ LE.)

For a single timecode (1 deck) you may be able to get away with using your computer's internal card with ASIO4ALL to emulate ASIO. However, this may give poor performance and the latency may not be good enough for serious scratching. Because it is a software emulation, it can also lead to increased CPU usage and/or audio glitches.

The crossfader curve in VirtualDJ can be set via CONFIG -> Options.

Would there be a problem with using the RMX ASIO for timecode or should I spring for one of the mentioned sound cards?

Never mind, I found the answer.
