Hi all, have been browsing the forum for ages but this is first post.
I have been using VDJ with Hercules RMX for past few years, never known anything different. Had a few technical issues now and then but nothing iv never been able to resolve thanks to various topics on here and a bit of human technical support.
Anyway iv just taken the plunge and purchased the Pioneer MEP7000 and DJM5000 and the Hercules RMX will now become back up system.
I really want to keep using VDJ rather than Pioneers own software but cant figure out a few things.
Drivers are all loaded onto Mac, when VDJ is loaded the music plays fine and the controls on the mixer etc have an effect but the skin doesnt react to what im doing on the hardware. Have been through the settings on VDJ but there is no midi control option for the Pioneer equipment i have. I have searched here for downloads but there doesnt seem to be anything.
Is there anyone else here who switched to the same system and can talk me through what is required to make this all function correctly.
Also as i am new to this i am also a bit confused about why on the DJM5000 that only CH2 is used to control both decks on VDJ, how can you possibly mix 2 decks using 1 CH? The MEP7000 hasnt arrived yet so maybe this will become clear when that arrives
