Hey guys, I need some help here to determine which MIDI controller would be best for doing gig. I was previously looking at the M-Audio Torq Xponent but I have read some good reviews and bad that the knobs and sliders feel cheap and it does not have a mic input. Does anyone know of another MIDI controller that is better/ equal to the Xponent?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I own an Xponent, and while it does indeed feel like plastic (which it is), for what you get for the price, it is the best bang for your buck.
It has never ever let me down, and is very responsive. I use CDJ900's and 2000's when playing out now, but still use this at home to record CD's. It does not have a mic input. Cheers.

thanks, have you ever played gigs with your Xponent? And yea, I would be using those also but they are too expensive for me right now.

The Xponent looks cool but at the End of this month, a new controller with great features is coming out. The Brand is By American Audio and its the VMS4.

You've probably seen this video, but if not its pretty cool. The beautiful DJ Fresh Fluke using the VMS4

The VMS4 looks good, but I would like to use a controller that is capable with Torq, can it run with that? I also know that the Xponent comes with Torq. Anyone know of any other controllers? I was told to stay away from American Audio.

I think you might get better advise on that from here --- http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.contact
And as for staying away from American Audio ... poor decision ... You should really consider the VMS4 and VirtualDJ ....

Thanks for the feedback! is the American Audio VMS4 capadable with Torq? Also i was looking at the Vestax VCI-300, how does the VMS4 compare to it?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Cstoll was telling you to ask Torq questions on the torq forum. He provided a ink. You will not get much info about their product on this forum, other than a general overview....

Here the Thing... American audio is a Ok brand but when you start to add features that only expensive mixers have. It has to be good.
This is my opinion
1st place VMS4
2nd is The VCI 300
3rd is The Xponent
The Xponent and the VCI 300 can be debated because the Scratching on the VCI is better but the Xponent scatches to. The VCI is more responsive and the jogs feel better. The Xponent has more features and more controll while the VCI 300 has less and limited control. This is why they have a New VCI 300 MK2. Improving features that were necessary
The only controller that works with Torq is the Xponent.
