There's no reason it should be doing this, I've ran it dozens of times without fail.
I read that updating the drivers messes up the software.
What doo?!
cheers.

What controller are you using?
Inviato Sun 11 Jul 10 @ 3:58 pm
Ahaha, really sorry.
Hercules RMX controller. I'm using Windows 7 and the VDJ version that came with the controller.
Here are my specs. When I have the controller plugged in, it shows up in device manager, as well as DXDIAG, so I don't know what is making it not show up for VDJ.
Thanks for any help :]

Simply download and install the latest driver (2.HDJS.2010) from the Hercules support site:
As well, resgister your VDJ serial numbber in your profile, and you'll be able to download the latest update for VDJ LE (5.2.2) which is also necessary if you want to use it under Windows 7.

Update:
Something happened and now instead of not detecting the controller, there's an error with my ASIO sound driver. I guess this is progress, eh?
OPTIMISM!
So I googled and found loads of sites for ASIO drivers and installed one or two but none worked. More advice for sad newb? Thank you guys, in advance. Hopefully :]

Your problem is that you are not following the proper installation instructions - you don't just go load 'any' driver.
Uninstall ALL drivers you have tried.
Uninstall the Hercules drivers if you ever did load them.
Uninstall your LE software.
Unplug your controller(s)
** Restart **
Now go download the latest Hercules drivers from their site - http://ts.hercules.com (These are the only drivers you need)
Follow the instructions during the driver install - if you do anything out of order then you will most likely have to start from scratch - again.
Once you have your controller installed - now you can install VirtualDJ.
